Many of the negative reviewers claim direct experience with the subject matter. While Lioness may have enough technical flaws to keep it from qualifying as a special operations documentary, there are so many other details that it gets right—some of them surprisingly—that it stands out from the bulk of the programming one would compare it to.

For example, I myself switched to Lioness after I started watching Heart of Stone. I usually like Gal Gadot, but I wanted to see something with a little more red meat.
